The primates, imported most of the time, undergo dramatic transport conditions condemning to an unquestionable death number of them. The law requires indeed that the cases out of wooden not be open during the transport of the animals. How then to water them and nourish them? Thanks to the carried out actions, on a European scale, against the conveyors of primates, certain airline companies ceased this type of transport. Air France is today the first for the transport of the primates. One Voice carries out a vast campaign of information and diffuses a petition so that following the example many other companies, Air France refuses to take part in this unworthy trade.
Dangerous for the man
Even if it presents undeniable family ties with the man, the monkey does not remain less different about it in its reactions to the viruses and other diseases. The importation of primates captured in their natural environment - as it is the case in France where one experienced more on the primates among the 27 European Convention countries makes run the risk to import pathologies mortals for the man. The example of a macaque for the school veterinary surgeon de Nantes, coming from China, carrying the virus of the Herpes B in is a sad illustration. Neither three trackings serologic, nor even forty imposed on any animal arriving to France, made it possible to detect the virus: in a monkey, the seroconversion for this virus can exceed 25 months! The cogency of research with the primates like models for the AIDS, hepatitises, paludism, the Parkinson's disease… would be disputed besides on the medical level.

Within the framework of the revision of the European directive of 1986, four European deputies, whose, striking fact, a Frenchwoman, deposited a written declaration requiring the complete stop of the tests carried out on the primates, with the profit of alternative methods whose effectiveness is already recognized. This declaration, by far most radical which was proposed on the animal experimentation, corresponds to the combat of One Voice. Association seized this single opportunity to make evolve/move the Law and required of eurodéputés French to support and sign this declaration. On September 5, 2007, eurodéputés adopted the aforementioned declaration, written under the n° 40, with a vast majority. This mobilization is the first of such a force in favour of the primates and constitutes a very serious hope as regards fight against the animal experimentation.
